The D-21 ‘Saboteur’ is a self-sustaining coil gun chambered in 8x62 SaSHa (Tungsten Shaped Charge, Discarding Sabot). First manufactured by Waffle Corp. by custom request in 2239, the weapon quickly became the gold standard for electromagnetic weaponry of the current age due to its self-charging capacitor and projectile velocity of ≈ 7200 fps (≈2200 mps). Its name—D-21—refers to the 2121 Elton conventions on the ethics on the use of mass hull depressurisation on transport shuttles, due to the staff consisting primarily of civilians. Notably, rail and coil guns, as well as high-calibre ballistics, were highly regulated in their use upon spacecraft.
